donation drive items, the continuing saga...
Okay, I'm heading out to pick up the extra shirts we needed to print for this drive in just a little bit. That means they -- and the other original artwork things -- will be going out in the mail on Tuesday.

The dice bags... Well, they're taking a bit longer than anticipated. Plan A: I send artwork and number of bags to be made to embroiderer. Third party company sends material to embroiderer. My embroiderer stitches the artwork on and sends back to third party company. Third party company assembles the bags.

There's a reason why we call it "Plan A". Third party company bailed.

So we talk to another third party company who says she'll do it, but at 150% of the original price per bag and a minimum of three times the number of bags I originally wanted. This, of course, would exceed the amount of money raised in the donation drive by... well, a bunch.

Plan B: I get the material, embroiderer embroiders, I hand-sew the bags. That's right! Not only are you lucky people getting really cool dice bags, you're getting hand-made dice bags! Wow!

Is it wrong that I think that hand-made dice bags from Thomas himself would be way cooler, most especially if they were of poor quality and obviously handmade?

It's probably my inner sixth sense for "things that will be of great value someday".

Holy cats. Not only is that insanely cool, but I didn't know you knew embroidery. Whoa.

Well, they'd be embroidered by the company, but we'd put them together here.

Err...I assume you will be using a sewing machine and "hand made" really means "I'm doing it myself"

Yes and yes, Miss Rivikah.

Beg/borrow/steal an overlocker. It'll halve your time.
