would you rather scroll left to right?
Or if you're like me and you run at 1152 x 864 resolution (or higher), check out the wide version of confessions: TheSnakeFarm.com/strips/confessions_wide.php Posted at October 12, 2003 10:32 PM ![]() Confessions doesn't work as well for me as 2guys (personal taste, not technical problems). All the funny is in the second panel, and you pretty much know what the end is going to be. Before you posted this, I had actually thought that making all the panels on one line would be better, since there isn't that wait and small build-up as you scroll down before reading the last panel... which you already know the general parameters of what's going to happen. I didn't want to mention it though, because it seemed kind of like a petty thing. So, um, yeah. Thanks for reading my mind and all that. I'll be sure to think harder for any other changes I want, so you get it sooner. Posted by: Ayako at October 13, 2003 03:42 PMI like confessions more than I like 2 guys mainly because (for the most part) confessions is built from real experiences. 2 guys is simply a collection of amusing non-sequiters. It's how confessions is just a bit more personal than the other one that makes me fascinated by it. Plus, I like seeing what judgement the bartender is going to dispense. But then, I see it from the other side of the strip. With confessions, almost everything that is sent in is usable. With 2 guys, I still have to wade through all the comments about the fez, one or two word insults for the second guy, and references to the art style that weren't oh so clever the first five hundred times I got them and continue not to be. I wind up throwing out at least 50% of what is submitted through 2guys. Maybe 5% of the sumbissions for confessions are tossed. So from my end, confessions is much more interesting because I see something new each time I read the new submissions. Oddest pairing yet with the confessions submissions: Two submissions in a row, dated a few hours apart, so I think it wasn't the same guy posting twice. "I enjoy watching C-SPAN." "I enjoy watching MTV's Jackass." Funniest confession-generated strips I saw today: 1. The one about Keanu Reeves in the Matrix. The bartender replies with "So you're The One." 2. The one about singing soprano in choir. The bartender replies with "You sound just like the last guy that was in here."
