Oh, d00d. Printmaking. Like the rubber tiles that you carve out and then ink and print? Is that what that is?

I used a mixture of red oxide and yellow ochre inks for the ruddy color, which was applied to the plate. The acid carves pits and channels into the plate's zinc surface. The ruddy ink settled in those depressions; the un-etched areas were wiped to remove the ink I didn't want to print. Then I rolled a tacky layer of white over the plate. Because a roller was used to apply this ink, it only covered the areas that weren't etched.
I'll be posting a few other variations of this print over the weekend, when I take breaks from writing my paper.
