The new computer came in and there's some last minute kinks in the ol' armor to iron out, he typed, not making much sense. All you need to know is I've yet to install my legal* copies of Illustrator and Photoshop onto the new computer, so I was unable to scan in this week's Spade Phillips, P.I. strips. Luckily, there's only two strips this week -- we just got to the end of a semester in the initial print run -- so instead of the strips showing up on Tuesday and Thursday like I planned, they'll be up later this week.
* I only mention this because I'm probably one of three online cartoonists that isn't running a pirated version of the popular Adobe products. I support capitalism! Go me!
Okay, now I'm really tired.

I support capitalism, too, and I oppose piracy, but on the other hand I am the biggest hypocrite you have ever met.
But I still wouldn't pirate Adobe Photoshop, because I hate that goddamn program.

Look, I'll do something special for y'all this weekend to make up for the way this week is turning out for me. I know you want your comics and I know I want to get some comics to you guys and even though you guys might feel disappointed and such about the lack of updates, I wind up feeling really crappy about it. I feel like I'm letting you guys down with this missed day.
No, I'm not fishing for condolences, I just wanted to let you know that I am working on being able to work on the comic strip.
