quotes about the comic strip
So I've been looking through the log files to see how some new people have found about the comic strip -- several people are searching for some combination of daily online comic strip and stumbled across the site (Welcome!). Aside from searches, I get referrals form personal comic links pages, from web sites, and -- lo and behold -- from several LiveJournals. Anyway, here's what some people have been saying about The Snake Farm and Planet Earth (and other tourist traps). "The Snake Farm rocks. Really." James D. Hargrove, over at RPG.net's forums. "I laughed so hard I had to wipe my nose." Long-time reader Morris, about confessions. "Snappy humor mixed with a very well-executed storyline, and over two years of archives. Well, you know, I like it." Mark Sachs, A Miracle of Science "A great strip about the in game and out of game lives of some real game geeks. A great read you really don't want to miss." Barry T. Smith, Angst Technology "allen daarheen!", "en hij is fantastisch!", "maar je moet echt [thesnakefarm.com] eens proberen" Planet Earth (and other tourist traps) has successfully conquered Belguim. "It's cool." From longtime reader Camwyn's LJ. "...one of the funniest [comic strips] I've seen in awhile" Veidrect, from Naked: People in Car Chases "Kinda fun." From yet another blogger. "...home of several comic strips of various content and longevity, which look amusing after a cursory examination." I think this is the nicest thing anyone has ever said about my work. "...it took a few storylines for the artwork to stop sucking." The second-nicest thing anyone has ever said about my work. "Not recommended for those who...no, this one's good for pretty much anyone." As quoted from the very first site (not operated by someone I know) that linked to PE(aott). "It rules. The guy who draws it rules. I have a PE(aott) T-shirt. Go read it. I command you. NOW." Okay, that's a quote from someone I know, but it's all true. Including the part about the ruling. "I just spent several prime working hours reading a daily online comic called Planet Earth (and other tourist traps). It's a very funny strip. I'm glad I found it, and I'll be reading it more." That just makes me feel all happy and in a comic strip drawin' mood. "Woohoo!" This one was strange. Apparently, there's a whole community on LiveJournal with people pretending to be the characters from Buffy, The Vampire Slayer. Dawn Summers likes the comic strip. If I do another Buffy storyline, I'll include Dawn and scare off the entire Home Theater Forum "Eternal Buffytastic" crowd (they're all named "Jason" for some reason).
