Online Comics Day!
It's Online Comics Day! Today, we feature a strip written just for OCD (the actual PE(aott) strip for the day should appear later in the evening - edit: ah, let's make that tomorrow. today was my day of finals and I've finally de-stressed). Check out that strip and a few others I've been reading recently: Rich Burlew's The Order of the Stick is high on my must-read list these days. Hard Artist's Sexy Losers is probably the best NC-17 strip I've found online. And have you seen Kristofer Straub's Checkerboard Nightmare this past month? Not only did he say I did "the quintessential Chex cameo", but he's embraced the shovel of spite and has been using it (nearly) every day since April the First. You have a favorite online comic strip that you'd like to share? Feel free to post a comment and let us know about it!* * everyone already knows about Sluggy Freelance Posted at May 5, 2004 12:04 AM ![]() Just so you know, I do read Checkerboard Nightmare now. I started at the beginning, though, so I haven't seen the recent strips yet. I'm in July 2001 now, so I have a ways to go... But I'm looking forward to the shovel of spite when I get there. Posted by: Don at May 5, 2004 01:55 PMBob and George is a great comic, if you like sprite comics. Tao of Geek is another really good one. Only it's not a sprite comic. Posted by: Striker at May 5, 2004 02:53 PMPretty much every online strip I read, I heard about here first. Except for Once Upon a Table, a pretty good gaming strip. Posted by: Ronin at May 5, 2004 02:55 PMI've turned on the HTML functions for comments and added hyperlinks to the strips mentioned above. I'll turn off the HTML functionality for comments after we accumulate a pretty nice list of other comics. (I'm off to check out Once Upon a Table...) Posted by: cartoonlad at May 5, 2004 04:44 PMThis is the first webcomic I ever read and definatly one of the best. Some of the other ones that are really good (besides sluggy freelance of course) are www.leasticoulddo.com www.biggercheese.com www.questionablecontent.net and www.pinkslipped.com yeah i think thats about it so far....good stuff Posted by: Burns at May 5, 2004 07:06 PMPVP - www.pvponline.com Real Life - www.reallifecomics.com Posted by: Prest0 at May 6, 2004 01:08 PMScary Go Round = crazy British humor about zombies and psycho killers and stuff (currently in guest week, but check out the archives). Cartoonlad doesn't like the art style, but he's retarded. Wigu = weird comic about a kid, his family and the hyperdimensional potato made from poison that watches after him. Posted by: Stephen at May 6, 2004 07:27 PMEvery online comic I read, I found either here or on the Sexy Losers links page. Since I sadly don't know Hard personally, I'll thank you instead. Posted by: Carrie at May 8, 2004 09:21 PMsinfest (www.sinfest.net) is pretty great Posted by: el tornadus at May 11, 2004 03:46 PMThe only webcomics I read now are College Roomies From Hell!!!, Ozy and Millie, and Slow Wave. I used to read Unicorn Jelly, but the story has ended, meaning the end of the strip. Archives are still there. Posted by: Lucky Wizard at May 11, 2004 09:18 PMI absolutely love www.meninhats.com. It's not serial, so if you take a look at two comics, you'll know if it's worth reading the archives for all of the one-liner goodness. Also, icantdraw.keenspace.com, which is written by a guy who has a column in the local newspaper here. Again, non-serial but the comic has a very limited archive. Good for a bunch of laughs, though. Posted by: Hidee13 at May 13, 2004 01:42 PMWapsi square is fun. A girl, her dog, and the Aztec god of Alcohol...http://www.wapsisquare.com/ Posted by: Randy at May 16, 2004 09:35 PM |
