the best game ever...
Neat. Over at PVP, Scott Kurtz posted a news bit about how he downloaded the Evil Genius demo, loved it (and it does look pretty cool), and then posts something hoping Vivendi Universal contacts him about the game. I'm thinking he's either trying to get some sort of deal with them, sort of like the way he and NCSoft worked together on City of Heroes. (From my perspective: Scott loves CoH, NCSoft loves PvP, and they got together and did some cross-promotion at the SDCC. Pretty cool stuff.) I'm guessing he'd like to do something with Vivendi to showcase Evil Genius. Cool. So I thought I'd try my hand at that game. No, not Evil Genius -- I mean the whole "strategic alliance with a game company" thing. Specifically, Sid Meier's Pirates. I remember playing the original way back when I was in high school. I just loved that game -- and now it's being re-tooled for today's graphics. One of the best computer games I've ever played. Oh yeah, I want the Limited Edition DVD-rom version of the 2004 release. Oh yeah, I've got November 16th circled on my calendar. Oh yeah, bay-bee. Oh yeah. So let's see if I can cash in my meager internet celebrity status points to score me a copy of the game -- and see if Firaxis and Atari would mind partnering up with me for a Very Special Event at TheSnakeFarm.com. If you work at Firaxis, Atari, or are Sid Meier himself, send me an e-mail. C'mon, Firaxis! Where are you? Sid? Atari? Posted by: cartoonlad at September 4, 2004 03:54 PM |
